A Note of Thanks

I'm continuing to build up my stash of thank you notes so that my mum has a series of thank you notes she can choose from for her set.  I'm loving The Cutting Edge challenge.  It's really encouraging me to use my dies more often.  At first I thought I'd use the polaroid die I have, but went with the vented die from PaperSmooches to ground the floral dies.  I love the color combination of black, gray and SU Ruby Red.

As I type this my two younger guys are playing Jenga.  Monopoly seems to be the game of choice this summer. What are your kids favorite games right now?  We're always looking for new games.

Wishing You Well

Nothing like some new stamping goodies to jump start a card. I'm playing along with the new Verve Peaceful Medallions set for my card today.  Similar to yesterday's card, I'm using SU Calypso Coral for the primary color.  Love that color. I also got some new white ink and white embossing powder.  I really need to emboss more as I love the end result! As always, love the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch to inspire my card design.

What about you...any tools you need to use more often?

Happy Sunday

Happy Sunday my friends, popping in with a quick card for this week's MUSE challenge.  Therese has a beautiful one layer card to inspire us.  My mum asked for some plain cards along with her a few thank you cards. I was so tempted to put a hello sentiment in the curve of this card, but refrained (even had the stamped inked up to do it!).

We are sitting here enjoying a very lazy Sunday morning watching the British Open and the Tour de France.  I've been out  for a walk and need to get moving for the day, but lazy mornings are some times the best mornings!  Hope you all are enjoying your Sunday.

Festive Friday: Merry & Bright

Hello there friends. Isn't this Festive Friday inspiration photo stunning.  I love all the white with the pops of silver and the pinecones.  There are wreaths, words, snowflakes. All kinds of gorgeous inspiration.  I choose to be inspired by the snowflake cookies at the front of the table. My Lil Inker snowflakes were perfect. I'm looking forward to playing along again next week with more inspiration.

Hop on over to Festive Friday and show us how you're inspired.

Fusion: I can't thank you enough.

It's time for another challenge at Fusion!  When I looked at the inspiration photo, I was drawn to the text on the vase, but for some reasons didn't want to use the light gray/green color as the background. I stamped the text background on a white panel and then went for bolder pinks, yellows and greens to complete the card.  I love this sketch too...so don't be surprised if I am back with a card that uses the sketch instead of the inspiration photo.

PROCEDURES:
1. Play with just the sketch challenge.
2. Play with just the inspiration photo challenge.
3. Or you can create FUSION by combining BOTH challenges into one card.
4. Use the challenge graphic and link back to Fusion in your post.
5. Please read the other considerations on the Our Rules Page before playing along.

Be sure to pop on over to Fusion and check out the fabulous cards by our design team!

WinnersWill be chosen by all of our teammates in two weeks! We each will choose one favourite! The winners will be announced at 4am (PST) in two weeks!! Please check the linky for the days left to play with us!

Time Out: Life Doesn't Have to Be Perfect

Hello there! It's time for another challenge at Time Out. Oh this inspiration photo has so many fun patterns that you can use for your inspiration.  I had patterned paper that reminded me of the patterns on the tent.  I kept it very simple with a sentiment panel and a touch of solid paper.

Our guest designer for this challenge is Sarah.  Be sure to pop on over to Sarah's blog. I'm sure you'll love her gorgeous creations.

We love seeing how you are inspired by the challenge at Time Out.  Be sure to pop on over and check out the design team's creations and play along with us.  You will not be disappointed!

Thanks Ever So Much

Happy Wednesday friends.  I love the sketch over at CAS(E) this Sketch.  I had the thanks die sitting on my desk and used that in contrast with a black strip of paper for the card.  The floral stamps are from Verve.  My mum asked me to make a few thank yous for her so this along with most of my cards I am posting this week will be a set for her use.
I also thought I'd share a few pictures of what Pat has been up to over the last couple of weeks.  His sister turns 50 in a couple of weeks and her made these chairs for her.  They turned out beautifully. He planned on taking them up to Chicago this past weekend, but our mini van decided it wasn't going to make the trip. Fortunately the engine light came on when Pat was less than 10 minutes away on his way to pick up his brothers for the trip to Chicago.  We'll have to figure out another way to get them there soon!
