PaperSmooches Sparks: The Big 16th!

It's time for a PaperSmooches Sparks Anything Goes Challenge!

We celebrated our nephew, Connor's 16th birthday, over Easter weekend, so I had to have a card for his special occasion.  Originally, I set out to make him a grunge or sports type card but then quickly spotted this fun little car from the My Guy set...and the rest was history!

Love how this fun little card came together. I used the following PaperSmooches goodies:

Wish Big

Being the mom of four boys, I am always in need of cards for my boys.  My 11 year old is heading off to a sleepover for a friend this weekend so it was an great opportunity to use the new Frantic Stamper Spitfire die.  The detail on this die is awesome.  I love the subtle lines showing the detail of the plane and the touch of portions that are cut out to emphasize the design.

The plan is definitely periodic so I added a touch of a red, white and blue feel.  To finish off the card I used a touch of patterned paper and the birthday sentiment.  Simple...but certainly packs a punch!

Time Out: Your Courage Inspires Me

Welcome Back!  It's time for another challenge over at Time Out!  This week we're inspired by words:
You Can't Make a Rainbow Without a Little Rain

This inspiration shouted about courage. So...I made a rainbow of hearts knowing that this would be sent to a friend with love and encouragement.

Our guest designer is Michele!  Please be sure to pop on over to her blog to be inspired by her creations! She is a rock star at using her die cuts.

We love seeing how you are inspired by the challenge at Time Out.  Be sure to pop on over and check out the design team's creations and play along with us.

On Your Confirmation {his and hers}

It feels a bit strange to have a Confirmation mass on a week night, but tonight we will be celebrating Jonathon's confirmation.  I guess it works better for the bishop to schedule it this way. Jonathon is really blooming this year and it is wonderful to watch him try new things.  He'll have his first track meet tomorrow and is thoroughly enjoying it.  We're really proud of him for being a kind, giving and hard working young man.

Our Godchild is also being confirmed tonight so I made a his and hers cards. stamping news, tried out my MISTI.  Love it!   I also made two First Communion cards (one for Marcel and one for my nephew). I'm going to enjoy having the MISTI for mass production.  How about you?  Have you purchased a MISTI?

Sending Hugs and Prayers

So are you are a Pinterest person?  I am...but go in fits and spurts depending on when I have time.  My card today is inspired a card I had pinned on Pinterest here.  Love how crisp and clean the stamping is on the inspiration card.  This card is immediately going in the mail to a friend who lost her step dad.  Too many sympathy cards have been leaving my house over the last few weeks.  All of the stamps are from PaperSmooches.

Welcome Baby

I love creating just for the sake of creating.  I had a bit of time yesterday and decided to play along with CASology.  I have all kinds of extra goodies from my 12 Kits of Occasions Baby kit from a few months ago.  Paired up the patterned paper and sweet little owl with the PaperSmooches Welcome dies and stamps.  Happy to have a baby card for my stash.

The weekend was gorgeous.  Perfect, perfect weather all weekend long!  My mum and I went to see Ryan's play for their final show on Saturday night. He was having an absolutely ball on stage. His hair was supposed to be blond but looked a little green. :)  So fu

And what cold be more fun than meeting up with blogging friends.  Michele and her hubby, Tom, came down for a visit this weekend. We had no problem at all chatting, chatting away!  So awesome to meet Michele in person. We had a wonderful time. Here's hoping we can do it again soon!

Paper Smooches Sparks: I Can't Thank You Enough

Oh la la!  I love this inspiration photo. The colors are fabulous and so are those stripes!  Over the years, I seem to be drawn more to the cooler grays that the warmer tans.  Over time...hoping the colors in my house start to change that way!  But sorry for that little diversion!  For today's card, I used the following PaperSmooches goodies to make my card:

I hope you are inspired to come play with us at PaperSmooches Sparks!
